Which AK to get

I was at my FFL's today and looking at these inter ordinance AK47 derivatives. The polish ones look really nice and the store cant keep them. I want to pick on up before I cant and want to get a nice one, but dont want to drop 2k on one for certain just because it came from some part of the wold. I am afraid I dont know much about them. I do know that some have different rear ends preventing certain stocks.

Interested in the polish IO. Feedback appreciated.

A friend of mine has a nice AK collection. His Arsenal and Krebs custom are the nicest and best shooters. He has a Interarms Polish Tantel which I have not shot but it looks well built. He likes the muzzel brake on it and the 5.45 caliber.

The Interarms Tantal is good mechanically, but watch out for flaky parkerizing. Oh, and yes, it's a -74, not a -47.

They're good Beenjammin, now come buy one! lol. The milled AK's are the ones that will limit you more on stock options. The I.O.'s are stamped and will accept a larger variety of stocks. My dad has one if you want to go shoot it, let me know.

Well, I was going to text you about getting one in a few mins but Chuck said he might not could get another one of the polish ones.

what do you want to do with it? the ak is RELIABLE, it is not as accurate as an ar but the ammo is way cheaper(getting more expensive). you do not have to spend a fortune on a stock rifle especially if you're looking polish(that was no pun)-go to a & g in ariaona, they've been around around for a while. oh and an ak 74 requires a much rarer ammo-not 7.62 x 39(ak 47) but 5.45 x 39(ak 74).
