I currently have a 24" 1-8 Wilson barrel from RRA. It shoots fantasticly but is too heavy for hunting.

I am looking to go with an 18" 1-8 twist considerably ligter than my Wilson.

Also wondered what barrels POF uses on there rifles they seem to get great reviews for accuracy and look to be light weight?

thanks all

Depending on what you want to spend you have a lot of options.

POF uses Rock Creek Barrels.

Do you want just a new barrel or is your goal to build a second upper to swap for hunting?

I have my Wilson up for sale here, and am looking to replace it with the lighter barrel. Going to check out WOA. Hopefully looking not to spend more than 300.00, but who knows! Thanks for the suggestions keep em comin.

Re: which AR-15 barrel

I just got a 16" WOA dmr barrel, fluted with a 1/7 twist. You can also get a matched bolt. I can't say enough about WOA. Great value, excellent product, and I only waited about 6 weeks for them to get it completely customized to my specs and shipped. Excellent CS as well.

centurion arms MK12 or DMR barrel. i have the mk12 and you can ask Tuscon dave how it shoots, he's had my gun for a couple months now. thing is awesome

Re: which AR-15 barrel

I've had good luck with Rock River and White Oak (both wilson Barrels, same as JP).

However, my favorite AR barrel to date was built off a Noveske blank by MSTN---my Noveske Recon was no slouch either, just heavier than I liked.
