Which barrel 8.6blk, .375raptor on which action would you recommend?

Thinking of replacing 2 barrels on these firearms but would like your recommendations.
Have a savage pcs pistol and a ruger american rifle and thought the 8.6blk would be better on the pistol and the .375 raptor on the rifle. The pistol barrel length would be 8” and 16” on the rifle. Would that work or should they be switched? Thanks
