Which barrel contour

I'm contemplating a GAP Hospitaller but am not sure of the standard barrel contour. I'm thinking of something a little heavier. What contour is everyone going with for your builds?
Suggestions please.

you are different than me, i personally think the 7 contours are too big. only thing i would want one of those on would be a big 338

i like senderos, heavy palmas and really like a #6 if you want something with a straigh taper

i have one #7 bought gun used, its deep fluted so it works out for me, i dont like my guns to be over 15lbs

i run a shilen #7 HV and its about perfect for me. The barrel doesnt heat up to bad and it cools extremely fast. Its a little heavy but nothing to bad

I have two GAPs with the #7 contour barrels and A-5 stocks. I think that is just about the perfect barrel contour for a stick I'm going to shoot mostly from a stationary position, but it is handy enough to move with if necessary.

I had my most recent stick built with a 25" MTU contour Bartlien, because I wanted the heavier look. That one is a little too heavy to handle comfortably for me if I have to move around much with it or engage multiple targets that require shifting positions.

For something I would be hunting with or moving around lot, I would opt for a straight taper #6 around 22" or the Palma or Sendero contours with a longer barrel.

Just like it is should make you a great stick!
