Which bore guide???

Looking for a bore guide for my GAP Crusader .260 I was looking at Sinclair but cant find one that says it fits a 700 style action? I am sure they have one though... Which brand do you guys recommend?

Lucas is the only way to go. That is if he is taking orders now. He has been pretty busy from what I understand. If you want the Sinclair then get this one:

Website says it will fit R700 actions.
I have a few and they work well.

Where do I find the Lucas bore guides, I just googled it and came up with a bunch of fourms but no where to order one?

You need to order through email, [email protected]. Include rifle action and caliber.

The lucas is great. Just be sure to measure your cleaning rods and if you use multiple, you'll need different inserts.

I ordered one for my soon to be GAP 308 Crusader on 5th June & it will be included in the batch he makes on the 27th of June, so that was my experience of his current lead time.

I have a Dewey and a Lucas. The Lucas is just better. It has a better fit and won't allow the rod to flex in the throat. Get a Lucas!

There is no discussion on this....Lucas every time!

I've never seena design or concept that comes close to Mike's.

If you are one of those (like me) who feels you have to clean your rifles, I think the Lucas reduces the risk of damaging the throat and bore as much as it can be reduced....

I have used a few flavors over the years but started using Lucas about 5 years ago. I should have switched sooner.

I use possum hollow for all my bore guides. No complaints, they work as advertised, and are well priced. Midway has them but here is the website:

I use a good one piece coated cleaning rod. My experience has been if you go that route pretty much any bore guide works well.

also, why not just use a bore snake? they work well for my AR and the pistols

The wait depends on when you order. He makes the bore guides in batches. To give you an idea, I placed an order on 5/12 and received the order on 6/13.

I have two lucas both lived up to the hype. The wait time was between 4-6 weeks well worth imo.

I own and recomend Lucas Bore Guide everytime!

But there is a better bore guide, it is the T.K. Nollan Barrel Saver. It has better material and design, but it is much, much more expensive than Lucas Bore Guide.

A Lucas Bore Guide will serve anybody extremelly well and cost way less. That is the reason I own 3 of them.

LRCampos - thanks for the heads-up on the T K Nolan, I'd be interested to take a look.

But to be honest, Mike's do a great job and they are good value (that's also why I've got four).
