I was thinking about getting a data book but i'm still unsure of what I want to get. I've looked at making my own, Impact data books, and Storm tactical. All 3 options have their upsides, and downsides.

I don't shoot a whole lot right now but I am in the process of piecing together a good target rifle setup, all I need is the actual rifle to get shooting.

I was leaning towards Impact Data Books because of the great reviews and vast amount of extra pages available for them. So I was wondering what versions of these books you guys have. I was thinking of just getting the regular sized premade one with regular paper because I don't really know what I need/want in a book right now. But I was wondering if I should spend the extra $$ on the rite n rain paper or the pocket sized one.

I just shoot at the range and stuff. Nothing tactical or comps or anything so I think the regular sized one with regular paper will suffice. What do you think?

Good way to lean. Don't see any downside with Impact Data Books. They have every page a shooter will ever need and allow you to get what you want. Go on the site and pick out the targets you shoot at or plan to and place the order. Don't forget to check out the over 1000 free printable targets that correspond to the many target pages.

As for rite in the rain paper, doesn't sound like you need it. Save the money. Also get the sized book you feel you need. If you don't need the smaller size of the small book then just get the standard book.

As you see, you cannot go wrong with either. Simply pick one and have fun.

Personally I have been using an Impact book lately.

I've tried a few different brands and really like the Impact Data setup. I just got 2 new rifles and ordered books to go with those now too. Very happy with their product and service

Re: Which data book??

Either book company will get the job done.

We have the largest selection of Data Books and Kits on the planet, one to fit every budget: Seven coil book choices and Four binder style premade books, as well as multiple choices of cordura book covers, are stocked on our website alone. Plus multiple dealers and schools offer our books with their 'house branded' label. We are also the official Data Book supplier to www.AmericanSnipers.org. and our premium kits are available directly from American Snipers

Our products are also the chosen House brand of the Brownells family of companies, and are carried by fellow Hide vendors CS Tactical and TRIAD TACTICAL.

Enjoy whichever book you chose!
All the best,
Mark & The Crew from Storm Tactical

Both Storm and Impact have modular options and are both quality gear. I've ran Mark's (Storm) for years and do like how much he gives into AmericanSnipers.org
