I prefer G7 because it is the proper one for the bullet profile! Thus making it more accurate than the G1.

If you are using Ballistic, you have to use the native drag model G1, and then set the use drag model to G7. If you plug G7 into both fields, you will end up with an artificially inflated BC, and it will overstate the performance of the bullet greatly.

Bryans G7 numbers have always been spot on for me. If your ballistic program has the G7s, use them!

I think bryan litz said the the G7 models are as follows:
168 smk 0.218
168 A-max 0.230
175 smk 0.234
178 A-max 0.240

Bullet Flight already has Bryan Litz's G7's in the bullet profiles. All you have to do is select the bullet type you are using and the proper G7 will be used!

G1 using Sierras data is close to g7 to 1000 yards, but they are using multiple values of G1 at different velocity.

It's easier to use g7...and G7 is already programmed into JBM.

G7 BC for the 175 SMK should be .243.
