Which Gas Block for Noveske Barrel?

I have a Noveske 14.5" Afghan barrel coming, but it has no gas block. What do I need to order for it? I've never gotten a barrel without a gas block already installed so I'm clueless about what I need. It's going on a vltor upper with 11" Troy alpha handguard. Any advice is much appreciated.

It is probably a pretty safe bet that it is .750 at the gas port, so a .750 low profile block would work. Noveske makes them if they're in stock. Set screw versions are lower profile than clamp style, so that is the way I would to to make sure it fits.

BCM, Rainier, etc should also have them, if they're in stock. Syrac makes a nice adjustable if you want an adjustable.

If it is one of the Afghan's mentioned in one of the other threads here, you could have a FSB installed but then your Troy 11" wouldn't work.

What is an FSB? And yes it is one of the Afghan barrels from the previous thread. Thanks for the response.

FSB = Front Site Base

According to Noveske's web site the barrel comes with the gas block installed. If you some reason yours doesn't have one you need to get it from Noveske as standard blocks don't fit.

This barrel is different from the afghan barrel you linked. It is made to accept a front site or a longer gas block.
