Wanting to try a monopod on a PRS equipped 308. I don't shoot from a bench and need a height that works for prone field conditions. Definitely getting quick adjust just don't know if I need the short 12 or the medium size. Never used a monopod.

Thanks

I personally wouldnt waste your money. Accushot makes one of if not the best bipod money can buy but the monopod is a waste of time and money IMO. if you're shooting on a 100% flat bench you might not have to screw with it every shot but my experience from shooting on the ground is you spend more time messing with it than you do shooting. Even if you load the bipod so the rifle doesn't budge it still digs in making you have to readjust every round. I will say it doesn't work bad for running it short and using your weak hand between it and the ground but I would still rather have a good bag like a red tac. I have one of his original bags he made for me when he first started building them and selling them here that is 6-7 years old and it still works like a charm.

I appreciate the info. I'm currently using a tab gear bag and like it a lot. However switching to a semi that seems to need more of a rear pull to it than my bolt gun did. I'm thinking the monopod could be better for applying rear pressure consistently. But like I said I've never tried a monopod so it's just a guess at this point.

You can still use a bag with a monopod, it keeps it from digging in and you can also fine adjust it more quickly with rear bag pressure that rotating it. It can be a rather small bag.
