Which Manners Barrel Cut to Get

I am looking at a Manners stock for a Rem 700 SPS Tactical and not real sure which barrel profile to order from Stocky's. I called Manners Friday and the person I talked to was not much help....

Looking for some real world experience to assist.

If its the same profile as the AAC-SD rifles you want the sendero varmint contour

Do yourself a favor, and have them open it up to accept HV contour barrel.

M24. I almost ordered the Sendero contour for my Manners T4A but was talked into getting the one for the M24 contour by a buddy. I ran it with with my Sendero barrel for months and it didn't look out of place. Now I am able to have Robert Gradous put a Krieger M24 barrel on my .300 win mag. You can always put a smaller barrel in the M24 contoured stock but you can put a heavier barrel in a smaller contoured stock.

+1. They seem to have a knack for making the barrel channel to tight.

Your rifle has a Varmint contour get MTU or at the very least M24. One day you will want a better barrel on that SPST. When you do you will not have to send your stock to have it inleted for a new barrel contour.

I kind of dig over size barrel channels. I have a heavy Palma channel with a rem. varm. barrel. I like the extra room. Order it oversize. If you hate it you can bed it.
