I currently have an A2 on order for my new F(tr) rifle that GAP is building. Recently I've noticed the Prone stock offered by McMillan. Would it be the better choice, or should I stick with the A2?

My stock is supposed to be ready sometime next month, so it may be too late already, but for what I'm spending on this project I want to make sure the end results are perfect!

Thanks for your opinions.

Re: Which McMillan stock for F(tr) rifle?

I recently asked a similar question.
The most helpful response came from Nine Hotel:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><span style="font-weight: bold">The McM prone is a copy of the Anschutz 1411 prone stock. It is very common to take a 10" disc sander to the 1411 wood stock working down the cheek rollover from the left side of the stock in order to get a good head position and keep the rifle vertical. On the McM copy you can make a wood cheek rest and narrow it down but you cannot sand the side of the main stock.

Bottom line is spend some time on one before committing.</span></div></div>
