I am planning on buying a USO 1.8-10x37 next month for my AR-15. I shoot almost NTCH and am going with a LaRue Tactical mount - but not sure which one. LT-139 (SPR 1.5, Extended eye releif) or LT-104 (SPR 1.5)?
I can't find any pictures but from my guestimations it would apear that the LT-104 will not move the scope far enough forward?
A picture if someone has this setup would be worth a thousand words

Re: Which mount, AR-15 / USO

Also, take note of how much clearance you need on the eyepiece end - if you have irons, for example. USO scopes are usually a bit thicker than some others (though S&B sometimes has the same issue in their short dot). I have a USO SN-4 and the eyepiece doesn't clear my fixed iron (probably bought the wrong rail system before I had the scope). So, my mount has to go even though the forward extension is fine and I'll be looking at similar Larue mounts. If you have clearance issues the Larue LT 135 has a 1.93" rail to center height. If not then yours with the 1.5 works. Measure twice, buy once.

Are you getting the TPAL version? I'm pretty sure the LaRue mounts do not have enough space between the mounts to fit the TPAL housing. USO makes a great mount that will fit and I think there's another maker out there... can't remember their name .. American Defense?

Let us know what you find.

I am not getting the TPAL version, I plan on ordering: U.S. Optics SN-3 1.8-10x37 w/ EREK 1/10 MIL Elevation, US#1 M40 Style 1/10 MIL Windage, ERGO Parallax, Red Illumination, JNG MIL Reticle

I am not concerned with the height of the mount, it will clear BUIS @ 1.5. I am concerned about the SPR LT-104 vs the SPR-E LT-139 Extended Eye Releif. I am leaning towards the extended version based on the 2 pictures I have seeen of this scope in a LT mount.

Re: Which mount, AR-15 / USO

There is no problem with eye relief with the std. USO mount on my sn4s (forgot the number but it's shown on the site - I'm heading out the door for a couple of days so no time to look). I just wanted to suggest a heads up re the thickness of the eyepiece. You should have no problem with that mount as long as you have enough rail. My mistake was buying a handle for my M4 with the rail on it and the sight sticking up (RRA "Tactical carry handle") which interferes. My options are either take that off and start over or sell my mount and get the higher Larue. Being in a hurry was expensive, that handle cost me $170. and I'll have to buy a Larue at $200.
