Rifle Scopes Which scope to choose

I know these Scopes are not the usual Scopes we see on here but I have to ask, I was looking to buy a Nikon prostaff 4×12×40 but then I was offered a used leupold vx-1 4×12×40 for $150. Shoot me some opinions please.

Putting it on a Thompson center. 308 for 200 yards Max

I'd go luppy if it was me. I just got turned on to a decent Nikon but I've always had great luck with the lupy. Shooting one on my main hunting rifle now and I love it.

I have that exact same Leupold on my 30-06 and I love it!!
