first off i'm very new to precision shooting and all the reading has kinda put me in a bit of info overload...one group says this is good, the other says thats garbage and this is good. so i've sorta narrowed it down to a few choices and just want some opinions from your experience

rife: Remington 700 sps aac-sd

use: some hunting this year, but primarily precision shooting with a range that goes out to 700yards (next year i'll get a dedicated hunting rifle with it's own scope n such so i want to gear this a bit more towards distance shooting)

scope options (that fit my budget):

i like the reticle and the FFP of the falcons more than the setup on the millet, but i know several people with millets and they all like theirs.

base and rings: not sure about 0 moa base vs. 20 moa base

any advice would be greatly appreciated

Re: which scope?

I personally run a 20 moa Badger Ordnance base, but there are a few to chose from depending on whether you want steel or aluminum. I would say Seekins Precision (Vortex Precision are also machined by seekins) for rings. They are very well machined.

Re: which scope?

i read lonewolf's review, that's what made me consider the falcon in the first place, lol

i ended up going millett trs-1, got a good deal from a fellow member...

awesome to know about the vortex rings, im sure they're cheaper than the seekins and sounds like they're comparable...
