sks sniper rifle? umm I see. Well what ranges will you be shooting? Will it be a safe queen or rode hard and put up wet? Which leupold and which zeiss are you looking at? Either will serve you well. For some reason I just cant see putting a zeiss or a leupold on an sks. I'd probably go with some type of electronic sight or a low power variable for an sks but different strokes for different folks man.

Don't waste your money on those Chinese scopes. Have you checked out a nice NXS?

Imo a uso st 17 would be the way to go on your sks.That way those 1000yrd shots could be made with ease........lol

don't be haten... ;-) If he wants too slap a USO on it, that's his god given right.
Funny thing is, I've got a $150 Big 5 SKS special, and that damn thing shoots really, really good, even with it's crappy trigger and ammo. It just blows my mind sometimes. I didn't do a cotton-picking thing to it other than sanding down that cheap-ass wood stock and refinished it with a dark Walnut stain.
