Suppressors which suppressor for 6.5 Grendel AR

would I go with a suppressor made for 6.8 or a 7.62 if I am sticking it on a 6.5 AR Grendel???

You can go with either, but the most utilitarian can is going to be a .30 can.

AWC makes some cans for 6.8, which would probably be more quiet at the muzzle compared to one for 7.62.
However, using one for 7.62 would decrease the back pressure, and therefore be more quiet at the ear than one for 6.8.

I would definitely go with the 30 cal for multi use.

By the way, does anyone know what the standard thread is on a 6.5G muzzle?

My barrel is 3/4"x 28. I have also seen several at 9/16"x24. I think it may depend on the mfg. and profile.

My old barrel was 5/8-24.

i bought a 30p-1 for mine. that way i have much more use from it.

I went with a 30P-1 to use on my 6.8 and .308. I might get a 30BA next time since they are just as accurate, the big brake used as the QD point is the only thing holding me back..

Still waiting for my AAC M4-2000 in 6.8mm for my Grendel to clear ATF.
