Looking at these 2 units what are your experiences? I do a lot of deer stand hunting often late into dusk ( or early dawn) but still legal shooting time. Deer at the edge of a field or dark background are often difficult to discern without excellent glass. Will the 42 at $600 more give me that much advantage over the 32? I know there is a weight difference but may not be as big an issue when just sitting in deer stand. I currently use a 7x42 Mojave Leupy and am wanting to upgrade to the best. Also, I have read a good bit about the "rolling ball effect" of the new Swarovision...is that pretty easy to overcome or is it that big of an issue? Thanks

The x32mm Objective is fine during the day but you will gain a great deal at dawn and dusk with the 42mm objective.
On the rolling ball effect....Some people see it and it is bothersome and some folks do not notice it at all.

You may wish to consider the Kowa Genesis 44 8.5x44mm Prominar XD GN44-8 Binoculars
Have you read this Swarovski EL vs Kowa Genesis review?

The Kowa is an amazing binocular which is much less $$$ than the Swarovski

The SV “rolling ball effect” is bothersome to some and not so much to others. The 42’s will definitely give you an advantage for first and last. There has been some great deals on 8.5x42’s lately on various auction sites. For stand hunting I would definitely go larger and get the early/late advantage. For the kind of hunting you describe I would take a hard look at used SLC 8x42’s (or even the older 7x42’s) - they are excellent and don’t have the SV issue as you scan the area with your binocular. If possible, look at mounting your binocular on a tripod, you will see more than you ever thought possible.

As with photography, tripod use makes a HUGE difference, I agree completely, ^^^^

It takes glassing to a whole new level.

I figured the 42's would be more advantageous at low light but just needed to here what others thought. I'll be looking for a used pair of the 8.5x for now or buy new closer to the season if none show up. I've seen quite a few 10x EL's for sale lately but not the 8.5x. Doug, thank you for your input and may be giving you a call to see what you have. I've heard a lot of good things about Camera Land and look forward to speaking with you.
