The action is a Curtis Custom Vector. I had a timney 510 on my remington 700 aac sd and didnt mind it but prefer 2 stage triggers. I have not had any experience with the timney 2 stage triggers. Should I get the calvin elite (blue) 2 stage or the regular (red) 2 stage? Rifle will be used for competition and target shooting with the 1 time a year hunting use. Any advice or user experience will be much appreciated.

It’s purely subjective. It just feels better to me. I know that doesn’t help, but it feels smoother through both stages, with a crisper break to the trigger. I’m sure others will have the complete opposite reaction. I was shooting it today after having a bit of a layoff, and was reminded how much I like it.

I am not saying the timney won’t work but if it’s for our vector action I would suggest the Huber or others over the timney. The timing and firing pin fall are much better with other options... ie: Huber, TT, bix

Chase, thank you for the advice. I ordered both timney 2 stage triggers to test out once the action is sent to me. I might now just sell them to get what you are recommending. Btw when will the actions be sent out? i deploy soon so im just eager.
