If doing it, get the 4500 imho.

Also, there is a non NV one, cheaper. It still has a backlit screen I believe, just not tactical NV style, so unless you shoot at night a lot then just go std. 4500 version.

They both work =ly as well - but as Jasonk states the NV & the 4500 version have more features than a mere 4000. SH is having a Group Buy that also may influence your decision.

if i had the extra $$$ I waould get the 4500. It has a couple extra bells on it like wind direction and such

4500 if your buying one might as well get the better of the two just for a little bit more. I use the 4500nv and like it a lot.

i also have the 4500. Couple extra bells and whistles like a built in compass and gives you headwind, tailwind, crosswind speeds. Worth the extra money

I have the 4500 that I bought from Amazon for $159 last December. I have nothing to compare it to but for the price it is excellent.
