I hope to heavens the African-American population wakes up to this race batting crap. I am sick of it. Gov. Whitless would have one think C-19 is prejudice and seeks out blacks above the rest of the population. Which is total BS. The virus is no more likely to jump on one race more than another. It really boils down to exposure through behavior (job, living environment, etc.) or bad luck. Now, it does appear that the effects are more severe in the AF population if acquired, which is a legitimate reason for study. I suspect environment plays a role as does genetics and lifestyle choices. If a non-AF person with the same health factors acquires C-19, I would guess that individual would be expected to experience the same difficult effects of the virus--again, regardless of race.

I am not surprised. Just like the GM Powertrain plant getting the contract for medical supplies. She has family high up in GM so lets throw taxpayer money (and precious time) at a plant that was defunct and shut down to get it open and up to speed during a time of crisis instead of giving it to the Chrysler truck plant that is literally right across the street (same zip code and everything) that is already open, running and offering to take on the work load to avoid shutting down the facility for the pandemic. Or for that matter there is at least one Ford plant that I know of in the same county that could have taken it on. If you want to consider state wide the possibilities were endless.

You have to retool the empty plant as well unless it was already making the same exact product. In fact, it will likely cost more and take longer depending how much was removed when it was shut down.
