It has a “ White Oak house blank” barrel. I think John uses Wilson but I’m not 100% sure. All of his barrels I’ve had just plain shoot! It is a SPR profile. Here is the description for the upper above.


The WOA 16” SPR Upper is a great upper when length and weight are critical. It is perfect for anything from coyote hunting to tactical use.

This upper is designed around our 16" SPR barrel. It is a 1-7 1-7 barrel chambered in .223 Wylde (.223/5.56) that meets the same rigid specs as our Service, Match and Varmint barrels, allowing you to get the WOA quality in a shorter length barrel. The .223 Wylde chamber is suitable for both .223 and 5.56 ammunition. The barrel has M4 feed ramps, a mid-length gas system with a low profile gas block, and an A2 flash hider.

Exclusive TR Series Handguard - SPR uppers are built with our White Oak TR Series handguard. The handguard features a full length picatinny rail on top with M-LOK on the sides and bottom allowing the user maximum versatility for adding accessories. Our propriety barrel nut and clamping design ensure a durable and robust free float handguard. You can read more about our TR Series handguards here.

Uppers include bolt carrier group and charging handle. The upper has been test fired and cleaned before shipping to you.
