Thanks for the input @Stooxie . Ill have to try some of those 308 rounds. My 175 SMKs are only getting about 2500 FPS in "deer weather."

@Oregonmuley uses the Federal Fusion quite extensively also.

I used the Berger 130 VLD hunting out of my 260 and 6.5 SAUM with good results, typically a one shot affair.

I shoot barnes ttsx a bit lighter than usual for the caliber. 120gr in my 7mm-08, 130 in the .308 and 150 in the 06. Never had a failure. Expensive but super accurate in my experience.
