We have a small pile (30-40 lbs or so) of old HSS lathe bits from an old engine lathe (LeBlond Regal 24x60) we had in our shop years ago. Most of its 3/4" stock. Old Mo-Max cobalt alloy stuff. Its way bigger than we use now, and surplus to our needs. Anyone have any leads on what to do with it? I guess most of it could be reground and used if you had a large lathe.

Re: Who buys scrap HSS tooling?

I know a lot of buyers for carbide but I've never seen a bulk buyer for HSS. You might do a for sale post. I use 3/4" tooling on my lathe and I know there are others out there. I use carbide for the most part though.. .
