That's where I saw the 10 years as well.Just looked again to double check myself. I only lookedat their newer 5x25 on the kahles website and under technical data the warranty explicitly states 10 years.
Kahles is a lifetime warranty too, but does not cover against damage by the owner (intentional or unintentional) or loss.

I own 6 NF scope and never had to send any in for repair.
I am in the same boat as you. I was leaning towards a kahles thr warranty kind of is a turn off for that amount of money to hope you never have a problem and can not transfer the warranty.So reading the Kahles warranty, lifetime on optical system, 2 years on electronics and 10 years for everything else. It also seems it is not transferable. Is the illuminated part of the sight, electronic or optical system?
Night force seems to be lifetime and transferable.
Neither seem to cover accidental damage.
Also looking for a new sight, but transferable is important for buying used and resale.
