Who has Best deals on FN A1a SPR

Hi,

looking at getting a FN A1a SPR 308 and possibly a FN TSR 223! can anyone point me in the right direction to get my hands on them?

Also any owners of FN TSR or SPR series care to share their thoughts on these rifles

Check in the vendors section for TacCord (sp) I think the owners name is Mike. He's had some good deals on the SPRs. I can't speak to the TSR but I've had a and SPR for a couple of years and it will not disappoint you.

Do you reload your ammo? what COAL do you use for the Magazine?

I reload. With 168gr. SMK, my OAL is 2.835" which just clears in the mags and with my rifle is .015" off the rifling.

I got mine from Mike. Its a good 3/4 MOA rifle with Gold Medal Match. I've shot groups better than that, but thats the worst I've gotten.

No Cleavers they are unable to supply any FN rifles, and pretty much couldn't give me an answer if they would or could in the future.

That sounds like the way to go!!! I actually bought mine from Cleavers.... Too bad I took me ages to finally put a scope on it and do some shooting. The 22lr with Vortex pst ffp got a workout though.

I love mine...never would have thought. Put my SPR A1A threw some rough Hunting and lots of shooting and its just a flat out hammer. I,m running Hornady 155 Amax with Fed Primers and Fed Brass using 44.0grs of IMR 4895 seated to 2.780" which gives me 2710 for my average velocity of 10 rounds. It has the 1-12" twist factory barrel...now I have shot the 175s and 168s but it loved the 155s so much I bought 500 of them to load with. And this rifle groups nice little 5 shot holes at 100. Anyways, The action is built like a tank with the thick built in Recoil lug smooth as ice bolt and crisp "but heavy" trigger. Anyways up grades coming in the future, cerakote, maybe a different stock and trigger but thats it untill that barrel doesn't shoot anymore. Good luck hope you find one.

I was planing to shoot 155's out of this rifle. normally it's 175 SMK's all the way but they are $$ over here. The 155 are pretty cheap if you buy the by the 1000
Do you have the 10 round mag? are the worth while getting?
Is the stock Painted or Molded colour?

Nope just black...will be camo'd up soon. I'm still running the factory DBM 5 rounder. Going with the CDI DBM later. Still thinking on getting an XLR chassis for it though.

The maximum internal length of the TSR-XP USA is 2.370".

SPRs with black stocks are painted. SPRs with the OD green stock have that color molded in. TSRs have the rubber overmold by Hogue.
