Just sayin'. </div></div>

I just wanna know why its in the "Bolt-Action rifles" section...

Anyway, I have a Romanian WASR10 and it has functioned perfectly for about 600 rounds. I think I've cleaned it twice. Probably like 2.5 moa at 100 yards; but I can hit 10" targets at 350 yards with it so it has usable accuracy.

Re: who makes a good AK-47

I've owned several AK's and they have all been remarkable for what they are designed to do. They put rounds downrange without jamming. They are accurate enough to kill or at least scare the shit out of someone who means to do you harm. I have an old Norico which is a fine gun. I have several "cheap" romanians like the SAR1 and the WASR 10. They are ugly and finished poorly but they work very well. I also have a russian made SAIGA in 308. It is a very nice gun and is quite accurate for this type of weapon. Even with the iron sights I can hit well at 100 yards and beyond.

Re: who makes a good AK-47

The AK 47 is my favorite gun, I've handled a lot of them and I have a lot of them. All the one's I have used have been accurate within there range. I haven't found any flaws in any of them. They all shoot anything you feed them, they all take every magazine you could use and of course they are reliable. The value of the Russian and earlier Bulgarian milled receiver AK's is high and thus probably considered the best quality. From my experience they seem to be a little more accurate. I have both milled and stamped receiver AK's. That being said, if you look at the AK's that are used during wars in harsh conditions, they are almost always stamped receivers. When you watch torture tests on the Militairy channel of AK's, those are stamped receivers. The milled one's that I have I got from my grandpa and they are really nice, but if I was going to buy another one it would be a Polish Tantal or a Romanian WASR. I already have one of each that I picked up for $400 each. Get a nice furniture kit for $75 and you'll have a nice looking gun that you see them throwing into ponds and then shooting on the History channel.

Re: who makes a good AK-47

What ever is cheap, I bought my Century arms AK-47 for $50 from a friend. He fired a few hundred rounds thru it and I have fired a few thousand rounds thu it with out any problems and all I use is steel case wolf ammo. Did I metion I have only cleaned the barrel once? I only shoot out to about 50yds {shh im hunting wabbits} but if you want a High quality AK get a Valmet.

I took my Bulgy sidefolder out the past couple of days and have been practicing off hand and position on 12" steel gongs @ 200yds. Very fun and can hit them more times than not.
