What frame material and what caliber?
Kimber = Pro Series
Springfield = Champion
Colt = Commander (couldn't resist)

Dan Wesson

For the parts alone, you will have to look pretty hard to find anything better than Caspian.
Most Gunsmiths and high end companies will have a full size, Commander, Officers size represented.

Smith & Wesson still offers a 4" or 4.25" barrel model as well.

The only manufacturer making a Govt. frame and Commander-length slide is STI. The STI Ranger II's are actual Govt. frames, not Commander frames.
Note that a Commander frame and a Govt. frame are two different animals. They differ slightly.
Also note that 4" is not a Commander. 4.25" is a Commander.

Also believe LB makes a Commander frame/Gov slide and they have known issues with slingshotting. Usually better off running a Commander frame/slide (VIS and frame rails moved back a little).
