BTW, who actually cares which of these (or any) make the most models. Taurus may have more models of The Judge than all S&W models put together but it doesn't change the fact that Taurus is JUNK.

The opinion of Taurus is interesting. I wouldn't own a Taurus, but lots of people think they're good. Maybe we need a new survey:
Do those that own Taurus handguns own Savage rifles? or
Do those who refuse a Taurus handgun also refuse a Savage rifle.
To me they're the exact same category: always cheaper, used to be total junk, now make stuff that seems OK. And the people that like either are the most vocal to tell you how equal they are to S&W or Remingtons.

Taurus makes some decent revolvers and a pretty good low cost 1911, but I'd prefer Ruger over Taurus any day.

#2: Taurus is a hunk of junk no matter how many models they have.
Innovation for them means making a useless gimmick of a gun called the Judge, miraculously popularizing the stupid thing, and then making a dozen variants! Cracks me up when people carry those things and think they are some kind of bad to the bone killing machine...but I digress.
Taurus has its place though. Without mediocrity, we would have no way of measuring or appreciating excellence.
