Anyone here mess around with thermal cameras? i have three I wanna get operational and need a little insight. They are long range surveillance cams. Got them from a military auction and want to get them running, got one to power up but I think I need a computer program to be able to view the image. If anyone has some insight about this message me back.

Thermal technology is ITAR controled....DRMO that sold them probally shouldn't have and the State Dept boys might be less than excited with the events.

With that said: If you actually got it "powered up" ; unless the cameras are outputting video serialy, the output will be NTSE,or PAL if they were set up to European Stds, and you wont need anything but a std monitor formatted to accept the input.

Re: who messes with thermal cameras?

Sub is correct, DRMO should have destroyed them along with all other sensitive items.

That said, which ones did you get and maybe I can help? Surely they aren't a nonfunctioning LRAS.

Need pics of the unit or model.
