Rifle Scopes Who offers payment plans on glass?

I buy most of my glass from a vendor that takes PayPal and I buy during 0% Promo options.
Recently picked up a 7-35 MK5 with an H59 at 0% for 24.
I've been doing it for years with moat scopes I buy new.

Unless this is going on a work gun where it might literally be a life and death situation (slim odds) it is very sad that there is even a discussion about this.

Why pay someone to pay for your scope, so you can have it now? Just save money and buy it when you can afford it. I don't see how anyone can truly justify paying interest to buy things for their hobby.

Whether you can afford it or not, I'm more concerned why someone would dig up a thread from 2010 rather than just starting a new one...

I think this is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. If OP would have made a new post there would have been at least one person who would have responded with a "use the search function. Someone already asked this question."

I do this as well, just picked up a Razor Gen II using PayPal credit. 0% interest for 6 months. I'm lucky enough that I could have paid out of pocket no problem, but why not take advantage of making smaller payments on something I know I'll have paid off within that time frame? At least for me, paying a little less than $275/mo six times sounds better in my head than $1600 at once.

Not sure why more people don't take advantage of it.

Dave Ramsey would be irate with someone asking this question...LOL:LOL:

BTW - I'm in the camp of if you don't have the cash, you can't afford it.

When I was a kid I bought a $50 Tasco for my 12 ga slug gun - lasted about 15 shots....

It took me years to learn this lesson.

When you want something bad enough (as I did anything gun related), you can get real creative in your mind to justify anything.

Don't do it.

You may as well go to your local loan shark, he'll treat your better and give you better terms.
If I recall correctly, Bear Basin (at the time in 2010) offered interest free for 6 months, which allowed most to easily pay off the purchase before hand.
I have used interest free purchases on lots of things.
As long as you pay it before the drop dead date, there really isn't a reason not too.

This is true. I've used the PayPal 6 mo interest free deals and they are worth it if you will pay them off in 6 months.

I was thinking about the Credova credit when I made my comment. Their terms are outrageous from what another member posted about them.

yeah, i never heard of them and would never consider using it.
Back in the day, I bought an IOR scope from Bear Basin on credit. It worked out fine.

My local gunshop does old fashion layaway, no interest, just put it in the back and pay a little at a time. I have quite a few nice things that I wouldn't have and they would not have sold, to me anyway without them being nice enough to provide that option. I'm sure this has developed more than a few loyal customers. There is nothing wrong with making payments on something, for better or worse that has become the American way.

If you need credit to do something. Look into credit card offers. Find one with like 0% interest for 12 months and fill out the app.

I get it. If your strapped, then absolutely don't do it. I use to make those mistakes when I was young, Not anymore. I just made a super large purchase. I chose to apply and put some on a new 0% card. It keeps my cash in the bank, I can payoff card at will, and most important, it boosts my credit rating.

Re: Who offers payment plans on glass?

9H,

We don't have a 5 or 10 yr plan. Ask any politician, economist, President what is our 10yr plan and they will have no answer. We make fun of or laugh at the "Chinese" but they own us. Hell we borrow money to the point of survival from them.

You know what the difference is? They have a plan. No they didn't have a 5 or 10yr plan but they have had a 50yr plan. It is well known and documented and it is playing out like the way they wanted. Borrow if you have to but not for something like a scope or rifle.

wrong. It's just not a 5. 10. or 50 year plan you want to hear. Our politicians don't decide anything beyond what they are told to do by the moneyprinters. The long plan? Destroy the middle class and 'old america', redistribute all the accumulated wealth to the elite and those who assist them, indoctrinate through the schools and media, turn a dynamic common culture into a morass of anti-American refugees, and have the American military foot the bill in money and lives to hammer out and enforce the new global order for the international totalitarian socialism of the future. That's the plan. All of the politicians playing dumb and seemingly wondering around aimlessly when it comes to "fixing problems" in a pro-Constitutional manner is no accident - yes, they act incompetent and impotent towards anything positive, but they rapidly and effectively push through endless legislation that strips our Constitutional rights. Again, no accident. That is the plan. When Americans are as cowed and ball-less as 1930's era Soviet citizens, and living under a similar power apparatus, the plan will be complete.

So buying a scope now and paying it off over time might be a good idea.

Best place I know of is Sportsmans Guide. They offer a 4 month interest free payment plan. They also have a decent selection, not the best but good. U just have to join there club for 10 bucks and then you also get a good discount. If anyone wants to buy one PM me and I have an additional 10% off which makes a total of 20% plus the 4 month finance.

Usually I do use cash, I dont even finance my vehicles. But you know the saying, buy once, cry once..... Well this allows me 4 separate times to shed tears over my purchase, but also kicks me up two classes on the scope scale. I have done it a few times and it worked out great every time.

This is an old post but was wondering if anyone still does this?
I have used sportsman’s guide 3 times already. It’s not that I can’t afford what I’m getting it’s just that I’d rather have the money in my account for as long as possible. I make sure there is enough in there to cover the last 3 payments

I heard the devil has a hell of a lay away plan lol look at Robert Johnson could not play the guitar to save his life before still a legend 100+ years after his death , but to burn for entirety in hell shutters to think of that , oh well there's no heaven or hell so what would you care lol sign on the dotted line you can do it buddy ....
