Wholesale Gun and Gear Buying Clubs.....worth it or a gimmick?

I hope this is the right place to post this question...I wasn't certain.

Periodically i hear about gun buying clubs that reportedly offer significant discounts on new guns and gear. Are any worth joining or are they mostly gimmicks? Perhaps they act as a way for manufacturers to get rid of last years stock? It's not that i have the wherewithal to purchase a lot of guns but it would be great to save some money if possible. If any are worth looking into i'd sure appreciate if you could note them.

Then you can compare the lowest prices you find there to whatever "clubs" you are looking at, or anywhere else.

There is very little markup on many guns being sold these days (outside of custom rigs or limited production models).

If it costs you much money to join one of these "clubs" it's not going to be worth it in the long run unless you a find exactly what you want, when you want it, and plan on buying a lot of guns in the near future.
