Why are MOA guys the slowest?

I have a USO SN-3 that had a illumination wire come loose internally and it looked just like a pube in the first plane. It was positioned perfectly sort of as a static BDC for a 168g AMAX load I had. Hell, I used it until it got annoying. Screw angular subtension - it was about 3 pubes high and 2 pubes left. Wish I had taken a picture of it.

You fools are using your MIL privilege. MIL privilege denotes both obvious and less obvious passive advantages that MIL people may not recognize they have, which distinguishes it from overt bias or prejudice. These include cultural affirmations of one's own worth; presumed greater social status; and freedom to move, buy, work, play, and speak freely. :coffee:

Please...stop MILsplaining to us. It is offensive, bigoted, and MOAphobic. You obviously cannot check your Miliradian privilege. Now we must make sure that a disproportionate number of MOA shooters place in the winner's bracket at each match as reparations. Also, if you cannot refer to the shooter's wind call in his chosen subtension pronoun you should be barred from the match.

Speaking of old timey measurements...

How did we end up measuring our precision loads in "grains" which is, you know, actually referring to a ripe grain of some old ass plant?

Why not grams?

Because:

28.35grams/ounce

437.5grains/ounce

Sorry, I'll GTFO with my logic...

Holy shit. I didn’t know you knew such big words. Nice lexicon flex.

I don't think that's what they call logic...

Dividing things is just math. I want to know the history. You will notice I didn't ask why...

Seems logical to me to use a much finer measurement for such a small substance. Who wants to measure single grains/kernels of power by saying you needed to up your charge by 0.0648 grams (one grain)? I'm guessing there's your "how..." ;)

You'd be truly surprised at how many people think that grain literally means a single extrusion or flake of powder versus a unit of weight.

A safe misunderstanding overall as it's the lesser of two evils; a really stupid thing to misunderstand in the grand scheme of things. I can picture someone counting single "grains" of powder for each cartridge... FML.

It's when people have scales set to grams instead of grains when loading TrailBoss - things get exciting!

Nanograms is where it's at.
Only if you're serious about your SD's...

I wanna see some poor sap try cutting a single "grain" of power into tenths. :ROFLMAO: But it's an easy misunderstanding for the misinformed. Kernel's just more fun to say anyway!

I know this started off about MOA then drifted to grains, so here I go.
I weigh my charges in Carats. Why? I have a really cheap scale that reads to 0.05 grains, 0.002 grams, but in carats reads to 0.005 carats.
Lots of my loads are close to 10 carats. (Oops, see the g, should be gr)

I propose a new system for optics.

The GAF. And use a percentage of a standard GAF as in 20% off of GAF.

There are some that GAF and some that don't GAF.
This new standard would provide a brand new measurement to argue about.

You would all have to learn GAF but it is in percentages from 0-100%
So it would be a standard platform.

Hope this will solve everyones problems .

If there was ever any seriousness in this thread, its because the numbers are smallerer for people like me who are more simplerer, which makes is more faster. Even with MOA/MOA or Mil/Mil with FFP and matching reticles, both of which are viable, just seems like keeping things simple and small makes it quicker.
