I assume this question has been asked 100 times, but I honestly searched and didnt find anything..... Please dont flame me. 
What is the purpose of running a Barrel Break-In? And is it needed, in your opinion? I know I'll get 100 answers, but what is your opinion on it.. have you ever done it, and HOW did you do it.. And does anyone have any facts / studies on the web that have shown ANY difference at all?
I just bought my first real rifle donor for a build, and I want to do it right. I currently shoot a POS Savage Axis .308, that cost me $400 scope and everything.. No break-in was done at all, just went to the range and started shooting.. and I shoot .8 MOA consistently with that thing.. So would breaking it in slowly have done any better for me?
