The 1911, in my opinion is the best pistol ever designed. With todays builders and technology you have the best 1911's ever.

Browning was way ahead of his time and along with 2011 off spring (wide bodies) there is gun combination for anyone.

With my Schuemann AET 24" gain twist barrel I can shoot clover leafs at 35 yards. If I need to defend myself or family I want a gun that can perform.

Nothing else is a comfortable once you get some rounds in it than a 1911 45 ACP.
