Rifle Scopes Why Does NF Use SFP Instead Of FFP ???

I was finally able to strike a deal for my C&R pistol, however, I had to take a NF 5.6-22X56 NXS plus cash for it. I have only one "Tactical" rifle, and it has a USO 3.2-17X44 Mil/Mil-Gap and I'm happy with it. I bought this scope because I hang with 2 pros (twice a year) whose advice I appreciate. They insist on FFP scopes with Mil/Mil turrets and reticles for ranging and calling shots. I have never looked through a NF (won't have it in hand until weekend), but I do read all the raves about how great they are. The NF has a SFP Mil-Dot style reticle and .250 MOA turrets. This seems to go against current fashion. Any theories on why NF uses SFP format for obviously long range, other than the target being obscured by a "too-thick" reticle at 22X?

They have both actually. FFP and SFP both have their strengths. The FFP is easier to range with but the Crosshairs can get a little large for things like a dot drill. The SFP often has to be dialed to a specific setting to range with but the reticle stays the same size thru out.
