Is it just me, or is the price of magnification levers a little (lot) out of line? I have been looking at the add-on levers offered by the manufacturers as extra cost accessories and wonder why such a simple item is not an included accessory. I have seen a lot of low end scopes and some mid range scopes with them included as standard. I just saw a dealer demo model list for over $100 and offer a $10 discount for dings and scratches. I just don't get it. Can someone please educate this ignorant old op ?

The gun industry as a whole operates on the mantra of "a fool and his money..."

If you really need a throw lever, wait until Black Friday. Or, you can redneck an approximation with a black zip tie tied tight and cut flush...
A large black zip tie and then sand the edges real smooth!..

I've always wondered the same.

MK Machine has made a pretty good business out of providing reasonable priced throw levers:

Lots of folks use Breakaway Coasters as throw levers:

One might think that they do it to make up for their losses on their underpriced scopes. LOL I agree with Hlee . However I did just see PST Gen1 6-24 scopes on sale for$599 or so. Looks like the market is moving fast and you get as much as you can while you can.

"My men will only wear bright colored unit patches, not subdued. I want those bastards to know who killed em."

Too late to start. At least 15 people are either introducing their cheap leavers to the market or are about to. Like I said, the market is moving fast. I prefer not to buy the CNC myself. Let the other guy in China and have him make them for you. Market them and get the market hungry and then the Chinese CNC man will dump the other 2/3 of the production run that you got 1/3 of. His price will be half your low competitive price. You made a good bit of money, but time to move on with another idea.

I’ve heard the most expensive ones are for fixed power scopes. Especially if they’re mil/mil.

My optic doesn't matter. I'm laughing at the stupidity of buying the "Lady Kenmore" model ( For you youngsters who don't know, Lady Kenmore was the Sears top of the line stuff). They sucked you in with the sale stuff and traded you up to the "Lady Kenmore". You want to make fun of somebody, just look at ARs. I am constantly amazed at how much LADY kENMORE accessory stuff would be ops can find a space to hang on an AR. Seems like the trend is to wear black clothes and paint your equipment black and you' a club member. Just for shits, and giggles, post your best example of this. I know you have them. Got to run to the range, but keep those cards and letters commig.

Wrong. That ship sailed a long time ago. I offered him $800 and he had a funny look on his face. I told him it was either that or a PST5-25 for the same price so I got the PST until I find a great deal on a first tier scope. Please send me a detailed list of approved scopes in descending order of goodness. I figure you would be the go to guy for this list. lol What about those pics of ultra tricked out ARs. I know there are lots out there, but I didn't mean to step on any one's toes. LOL I'm still of the opinion if it ain't a UNERTL 8X with factory mounts on a 1903 sniper model, it ain't sniper qualified. All this new stuff is just window dressing.
.

al least leupold got it right with the Mark 5HD scopes.
lever is included, and they designed it so the lever doesn't get in the way of running the bolt on most rifles.

No excuse for every home not to have a simple 3D printer anymore. Make your own and while your at it you will find a million other things you need regularly that you can “print” yourself.
