wideners pulled 62 grain 22 cal tracers?

Re: wideners pulled 62 grain 22 cal tracers?

According to the original loading, from the Army TM 43-0001-27,
that was originally the M856 tracer round, which was loaded with 24.7 grains of WC844.

If you got some of that, I'd start at 22.8 and work up, either with careful attention to pressure or a work with a chrono. That bullet is smashing alot of powder to get to the crimp.I don't think you could ever get to 24.7 without crimped primers.

Speed doesn't ignite the tracer, the powder charge actually does.

Substitute H335 and they'll probably run.

good to know, sounds like id be better off just buying factory tracers, and leaving the press for the precision ammo
