Re: Wideners Storage Facility Fire

Here is what Pi$$ed me off..

“Not much information was available on what happened, but radio
traffic from Johnson City/Washington County 911 dispatchers indicated
a building near the property contained fireworks, powder and fertilizer.”

A turns a probable question into something more. Hell, Lets add some diesel

Re: Wideners Storage Facility Fire

powder, fertilizer, and fireworks?

Sounds like the info came from a fireman reading hazard labels with binoculars (or more likely if they're squared away, their preplanned response guide to that particular site) and spouted out all the same stuff that would be in that label/placard code catagory.

the codes are relatively generic, they just need to tell the FD how that material will behave, doesn't really matter what it is specifically.

Some places like pesticide plants have instructions to the FD- Stay the F out and let it burn.
