Suppressors Wife thinks I have enough knives.

My wife got a little pissy because I brought home a new knife, I bought it a couple months ago and it was on back order.
She said I have way too many knives, so I figured I would lay them all out and see if I could justify a new knife.
The answer is YES.
I will admit I did not realize there were that many, especially considering I forgot two. I know they are not all high quality knives, but I am proud of them.

I would love some custom knives, but I am too cheap.
These knives have been bought over 20 years, and they are a poor boy extravagance. Only 3 cost over $100.
I actually have a ESEE RC4 on order.
Next I think I will buy a Microtech OTF or a nice Benchmade or a Fairbanks or heck maybe a nice Kukri...

See I have a problem and if I bought customs I would be waiting a long time in between knives.

Ahh yes notice it is next to a koboton, it is a Cold Steel Sharkie. It is an actual marker but it is almost all Zytel plastic.
It is made to be a koboton or a point striking weapon.
I carried that when I worked in an inner city ER, never used it but I felt better having something with me.

Actually the problem for me is my wife only has one good piece of jewelry (her wedding ring), does not have a shoe fethish and in general is a very cheap woman to have around.
Her only thing she spends money on is purses and bags, and I think that all together over 15 years she may have spent $250 on them all.
I don't have anything to throw back at her. I have more into one rifle than she has in jewelry, and one pistol would cover all of her shoes

You could sell most of those.... making the wife happy. And get into a couple high end custom knives. Would hold a high value and save on space.

I don't think I would get a bunch for most of them, they are all (execpt three) pretty well used and show the signs.
Most of the folders have been work knifes for awhile, and look it.
The only ones that have not been used as work knives are the cheapos most of which were given to me, and the SOG Ageis which I carried for two days before I bought the Sogzilla, which is my current work knife.

Wow is all I can say about those!!!
I wonder what something like that costs?

As much as I like to dream I just can't see carrying something like that around everyday, or pulling it out to cut a zip tie, fuel line, etc. It would be like a suit, I would put it on for special occasions, and hope it doesn't get dirty!
Maybe someday.

Tattoo, I am with you. My knives are users. My high end blades are Maddogs. My cheaper stuff is all Microtech. They all get used and carried. When they get dull, they get sharpened. I got rid of the safe queens a long time ago. Excess baggage is mental masturbation.

I am thinking you have to many repeats. I am with the others on paring (no pun intended) your collection down and get a few custom knives.
