I think the polymer tips were a pretty limited run, haven't heard about them in a year or two. The new ones are pointed if that's what you are referring to, but that's just uniforming the tips.
And yes, all DTACs fit in an AICS.

Depends on the throat as mentioned. I have some of my front plates removed though they fit with the plates in there too, but it's right there with the plates.

My Nighthawk Custom rifle is throated so that a 115 DTAC is barely touching the lands at 2.78 COAL. It won't stay that way forever do to throat erosion, but it gives me a lot of room to chase the lands as the throat erodes, but still fit in the mags. It's my favorite reamer so far.

If you remove the front plate from AI Mags, you can seat the 243 out to 2.9 OAL.
Also, are you talking about the DTAC 111s with the green tip? If so, those suck.

With a standard AI mag I can seat to 2.825 OAL if that helps any. Can't comment on the DTAC's because I am shooting 105 Bergers VLD's
