It shouldnt. If it does then something is wrong.

Now, will it change the results down range? Absolutely. Take it into consideration that a prior load may not like its new configuration. Work up a load with how its going to be shot.

Absolutely essential that whoever does the threading has done this before and has a good reputation. Those muzzle threads have to be DEAD-NUTS perfectly concentric and parallel to the bore.

POI will change every time you add/subtract a device from the end of yer muzzle. If done right it will not affect accuracy *but* any time you put something on the end of yer barrel your zero will likely change a bit. Anything on the end of a barrel changes the final resonance.

I am not that familiar with YHM products so I cannot give a specific answer.

In a more general sense the answer depends on your definition of "QD". Some of the QD mounting systems do not lock the can into one position. Some have a tiny bit of wobble to them and others allow a bit of rotation to the can. If there is wobble or rotation present then yes it can impact things. If it's not present then probably not.

Method of attaching can also affect magnitude POI shift. The OpsInc/AE cans have a portion of thee initial chamber that is back over the few inches of barrel before the muzzle threads. They also torque against a taper on the barrel, providing 2 completely separate points of contact, inches apart. I don't believe these cans were ever marketed as having minimal POI shift, but that when properly installed, had accuracy improvement. I would say the ones I own have as good or better POI repeatability as my TBAC Ultra7.
