Will a stock bedded for a mausingfield fit a rem 700?

Wondering if a stock bedded for a mausingfield short action will fit a regular Remington 700 without having to be re bedded

you need to rebed any time you change actions......even if they are the same footprint.

bedding forms a perfect fit to the action.....and thanks to manufacturing tolerances......if you place another action into it, its not going to sit flush.

This logic is akin to that logic... re-bed the stock, or wish you did later.
