Will HS 110 BA stock work with a Normal 110 action

I have a Savage 110 .300 win mag. staggerfeed that I have been building into a long range rig . I have been looking to get a new tactical/vertical grip stock to replace the factory wood stock. I found a HS Precision stock from a 110 BA .338 for sale. Would it be possible to use this stock for my action? I know the stock HS stock is setup for the .338 DBM, but would it be possible to use CDI's DBM for my savage 110 in this stock in place of the .338 DBM?

Are you sure it wasn't a 110 HS Precision? The BA has the machined aluminum stock on it. Which 110 are you putting it on? Or more importantly which version of the CDI metal did you get? As long as they both have the same screw spacing and both have the bolt release up near the bolt (instead of on the trigger guard). I think the .338 LM version of the 110 HS has the bolt release up top (since the big DBM release is ahead of the trigger guard on that model like CDI has it).

You're right it is a stock off a 110 HS Precision in .338LM. Is the .338 LM action the same length as the standard 110 action? I have a staggerfeed Savage 110 action. My main concerns are if my action is the same length as the .338 and would the CDI DBM work ok? Would the .338 magazine inlet be too large for the CDI to cover up (would it look ok)? I have not order a my cdi bottom metal yet. I'm still trying to decide which stock I want to go with. I was just wondering if this stock would work for now so I wouldn't have to wait 3-6 months for a new stock.

I think CDI only sells long- and short-action versions of their bottom metal for Savages. That makes me think the long-action AI mags are similar in length. .338 LM is only 1/3 inch longer than .300 WM, right? Someone with one of the Savage .338 LM DBMs may need to give you some measurements off their factory bottom metal (and mags) to be sure.
