I have a 308 with a Oberhiem chamber. I don't know what all has to take place to re barrel a rifle. But if I decided to re barrel to a 6.5 creedmore would I have to do anything to the chamber?

Your smith will cut you a new 6.5 creed chamber in your new barrel.

Give your rifle to your gunsmith with a note of what you want. Then throw money in that direction until the rifle is delivered. They are both Short Action cartridges with the same boltface, so a rebarrel is all this is required.
