Rifle Scopes Will this set-up work?

I bought a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 to mount on my Remington 700 Tactical AAC-SD.
Would these work together with flips caps:
Warne Tactical Base 0MOA
Leupold Mark4 Rings Medium

That'll be more than adequate.

Here's the same scope on the same rifle with a 20 MOA Nightforce base and TPS super-low (0.820") rings.

Lower rings on a 0 MOA base seems to be pushing it. The Leupold medium rings are only 0.840"

You have to remember that a 0 MOA base actually gives you more room because the scope isn't tilted down toward the top of the barrel like it is on a sloped scope base.

Since Leupold doesn't make lower rings however, I'd use the ones you already have. Just understand you do have a bit more wiggle room if you really needed it. More importantly though, your suggested setup won't be obscenely tall which screws up a good cheek-weld.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually have a choice between the Leupold Mark4 and Warne tactical rings. Don't know the height of the Warne medium rings. Which of these two would work best?
