Will this zero method work on a Gen III razor

Has anyone done this? Does it work? Any issues?
Put a Gen 3 6x36 Razor an my rimfire, want to zero at 50 yards but cant get to a short range right now.

So if I set the elevation turret UP 1.6 mils from zero.
Loosen the turret clamp and adjust the center to be zero at 100 yards.
Lock the clamp, then when I dial down to zero that would be my 50 yard zero.

Yes, if you zero at 100yds with your turret set at your 100yd dope(1.6 in your case) that will work.
