Gunsmithing williams bottom metal

i have an fn pbr that i recently bought a a williams bottom metal for. i relieved some material so that it will mate up, but there is a small gap between the floor plate and the stock on both sides of the floorplate. what if anything can i do abount this?

Remove the bottom metal, and fill in the space by adding J-B Weld to that area of the stock.

While you're bedding the action bed the bottom metal. I'd use Devcon.
