Wilson Combat 16” 6.5cm buffer options

I’ve tried to research this, but getting conflicting info because of all the different gas port sizes on 6.5cm. It’s a Wilson Combat 16” 6.5cm and measured gas port with pin gauges at .076” and intermediate gas system length. For now going to use a Slr adjustable gas block since i bought majority of parts from Wilson. A5 length buffer tube. What im trying to figure out is buffer spring and buffer weight. Been looking at heavy buffers.com at his 8.5oz setup, but not sure if that’s to heavy for this size gas port. I will be using a suppressor, but it’s a Huxwrx flow so back pressure is fairly low and not really a concern. Just seeing if there is any other suggestions. I also do have a AR10 308 flat wire spring i did buy from Wilson so i can also mess with regular AR15 weight buffers if needed. When i talked to Wilson about this they generally use AR15 carbine length buffer tubes with AR10 springs and short buffers, but i wanted to stick with A5 length buffer system.

Regular buffer and spring and dial it down using the gas block. A5 length buffer tube should be armalite spring and a AR15 carbine buffer.

Thanks so just a standard weight carbine buffer? Armalite spring such as standard 308 spring length? I loving buy a carbine buffer and h1 so i can try both.

Your flatwire spring and whatever ar15 carbine buffer you have lying around is fine

Maybe later you will want to try a heavier buffer or spring

This ^^^. I would start with a lighter buffer weight to make sure there isn’t too much resistance to proper cycling when unsupressed. You can always soften it up more with a heavier buffer once youre more dialed in with the gas block etc

I ordered a carbine, h1, h2 and h3 just in case and I’ll use the Wilson combat AR10 spring its a flat wire 37 coil for AR10 so i assume it’ll be ok to use in a A5 buffertube.

As long as the spring is rifle length it should be ok in an A5 tube (12-16” (41-45 coils)). Sorry I didn’t mention this earlier and I’m not sure how much you just spent on all those buffers but for around 50 bucks you can get a buffer kit like the below where you can swap the weights in and out (h2 =2 tungsten and 1 steel buffer weight, etc)
