Being that the model 70 winchester is flat on the bottom, has a different bolt design, and has an integral recoil lug, as opposed to the Rem 700, how is the action truing accomplished? Are there some steps done to the Rem 700 that aren't done to the win 70 due to design (I notice most descriptions don't include recutting threads)? I notice that usually the win 70 truing is cheaper also.
Also, on Gre-tan's website, he states on the win 70 truing that he "Open Win. action tenon to 1.062 x 16 tpi" What is this for and what benefit does it have?
