Mine is on the barrel, left side, below the rear sight. 7730. The ones that were sold outside of CONUS have serial numbers. Winchester stopped making them before the GCA68. My great uncle brought one home after Korea. He killed his chickens and hogs with it. I got it for Christmas when I turned 16. It came with a box of .22 Longs. It still shoots good for what it is, a long barrel rifle with an Artillery Bolt🤬

My great uncle bought "mine" at a hardware store in the 30s when he was a teenager. He gave it to my dad 20 years later, who in turn, gave it to me 20 years after that, and I gave it to my son, who I hope keeps the legacy going. It still will shoot the eye of a cat at 100yrds as its fast approaching its 100th birthday.

Yes, mine isn’t a 5418 Anschutz, but coke cans and possums are skeered of it. Pretty amazing for what it is, and it probably cost $3.25 to make it. If it was scoped, I might be impressed. The sights it has look like the sights on my Winchester 94. I can’t hit anything smaller than a coke can, much less a feline eyeball🙈
